This webinar will provide an overview of the issues surrounding depression in seniors, including dealing with stigma, increased issues of loss and grief, the difference between depression and grief, caregiver issues, and the use of evidence-based programs as a treatment model.

Betsy received her master’s degree in counseling, with an emphasis on family systems therapy, from San Francisco State University. She has worked as a Bereavement Counselor in hospice, a Caregivers’ Support Group facilitator, a “Powerful Tools for Caregivers” instructor, and a Dementia Champion presenter. She is a member of the Twin Cities Jewish Community Alzheimer’s Task Force and the Faith Community Learning Collaborative.
