The White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA) occurs every 10 years to prioritize the national issues for older Americans for the next decade. The Minnesota Board on Aging partnered with a number of organizations to host local WHCOA listening sessions throughout Minnesota. The local sessions gathered diverse constituents to discuss aging policy and collect information to shape the recommendations to be submitted from Minnesota. The 2015 WHCOA will be held on July 13.
This webinar will explore:
- WHCOA federal themes of long term services & supports, healthy aging, retirement security, and elder justice
- Recommendations that developed as a result of the Minnesota White House Conference on Aging listening sessions
- Ways to use the information gathered to help support community efforts
