This webinar will provide an introduction to the work of the Minnesota Elder Justice Center and explore how it can add value and enhance the work of service providers and others working on behalf of vulnerable adults.

Learning Objectives:

  • Information about preventing and reporting the abuse, neglect and financial exploitation of older and vulnerable adults, for victims, family members, caregivers and other loved ones.
  • How the MEJC can add value and enhance the work of service providers and others working on behalf of vulnerable adults.
  • Minnesota’s Adult Abuse Reporting Center – a new central system for reporting the suspected maltreatment of vulnerable adults.

Marit has practiced Elder Law in the Twin Cities metro. She is also an adjunct professor of philosophy at Augsburg College, where she teaches ethics and bioethics in the Augsburg for Adults program. Marit currently participates in the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Elder Law and Probate and Trust Sections.
