Program Gerontology

In the graduate certificate program for Gerontology, you will receive Specialized training in aging studies. Your certificate complements and supplements other graduate majors. You will acquire knowledge that can be used across numerous agencies, institutional settings and professions.

A Master of Science in Gerontology prepares graduates to assume professional leadership roles in the delivery of service to older people and their support networks, in the planning of services, in the administration of services, and in the training and instruction of older people and service providers.

The Gerontology Minor is designed for undergraduates who want to work with an aging population and/or supplement their major field of study. Knowledge about aging is an essential component to every major in Health and Human Services—as well as almost any major from business and technology to arts and humanities! Courses cover topics ranging from aging policy & programs, dementia, and health &   aging to areas including gender, elder law, housing, and diversity (regional and global).
