Join us for To Cough or Not to Cough: Prevention of Seasonal Respiratory Viruses in Older Age Groups, a one-hour virtual webinar jointly hosted by the Minnesota Gerontological Society (MGS). and the Minnesota Association of Geriatrics Inspired Clinicians (MAGIC).
A three-person panel of experts will discuss practical and evidence-based strategies to help prevent seasonal respiratory viruses—such as influenza, COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)—in older adults.

- Summarize the recommendations for vaccinations for Influenza, COVID-19, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus for older adults
- Provide leadership to allay vaccine hesitancy and protect the health of older adults
- Apply best practices, including vaccination, use of standardized vaccine protocols, and commitment to core strategies of prevention to protect the older adults from seasonal respiratory illness

Caitlin Eccles-Radtke, MD
Caitlin Eccles-Radtke, MD, is an infectious disease (ID) physician at Hennepin Healthcare. She does both inpatient ID consulting and outpatient care which includes ID consulting as well as primary and specialty care for people living with HIV. She is also the medical director for Infection Prevention at Hennepin Healthcare and was the lead ID staff running the COVID-19 pandemic response for the hospital.

Roberta Meyers MD, MPH
Roberta Meyers MD, MPH, is a geriatrician with over thirty years of experience providing care in skilled nursing facilities, in ambulatory outpatient settings, and in community-based home visits. She retired from Hennepin Healthcare (HCMC) as an Associate Professor of Medicine. She is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Gerontological Society.

Alison Romstad, DNP, APRN, CNP
Alison Romstad, DNP, APRN, CNP, is a Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in geriatric on-site care in nursing homes, assisted living, home-based care, and transitional care units. She is the Clinical Director at Genevive, on the board of the Minnesota Association of Geriatric Inspired Clinicians (MAGIC), and the chair of the MAGIC Alliance for Clinical Excellence (ACE) committee.
